trying not to worry

On this government shut down kind of day, I am sitting here feeling uneasy- trying not to worry about our future, and trying to think of things to do with the kiddos close to home using what we have.

So here I am, sneaking away to peruse Design Sponge and take a mental vacation. Thank you Grace and the team for inspiring me yet again!

Baking makes me feel calm and nourished- I am going to give this one a try:
Gluten Free Chai Bundt Cake- yes please!

Once I get to cooking the kitchen warms up and the house smells nice, and I get to feeling crafty.

Now to make something pretty for the house! I love having a homemade home- down to the smallest touches- how about a custom honey jar made from a pretty repurposed bottle?

Now all I'm missing is a cup of tea- ah much better!
