Viewmaster love

My latest Ebay score- a vintage Viewmaster and a million amazing vintage reels- old westerns, Disney, travel, Native Americans- I wish there was a way to show you them all! My sons were enchanted by the "magic box".  I was looking for one forever, but could only find the big plastic ones that are so commercialized I think it would be slightly embarrassing to be seen with.

Which reminds me, an old friend made her art school portfolio into a Viewmaster reel and sent the reel along with a vintage Viewmaster for job inquiries. How smart is that?

as promised- the Summer Camp Playset!

You saw it here first- the summer camp/ Native American play-set inspired by the pics posted a few days ago.  The little guy can sleep in the teepee, paddle the boat or hang out with the pioneers.  I'm making this set in a few different patterns which will be available in my shop soon.

I am enjoying watching the boys getting lost in this little world- floating the canoe, putting the guy to sleep, having him dive into the water, building beds in the teepee from grass and leaves... The depth of concentration is enviable!
