My hero today- Madeline Weinrib

Painter and designer Madeline Weinrib lives and works in New York City. The granddaughter of ABC Carpet & Home founder Max Weinrib, she carries on the family tradition with her innovative collection of artisanally-crafted carpets and textiles.

I love everything she touches- a collection of custom printed fabrics, reworked vintage pieces and custom rugs, clothing, she does it all. Swoon! I want to be you for a day Madeline!

Feather fixation

I am beginning a yardage screen print class this week at Modern Domestic PDX and am thinking about what kind of prints I want to do- I keep going back to the feather idea- so pretty and perfect for a teepee!
This image is from my new favorite blog http://blog.piajanebijkerk.com

This painting is so pretty I could look at it all day !(from artist Lara Harris. )  I wonder if it would work for screen printing to blend the colors like she does... I suppose we'll see.

Sweet things for sweet kids

A celebration of things simple and beautiful.
